Songs for church weddings and civil ceremonies
For church weddings, you can choose almost any music you like, so long as your vicar, priest or minister agrees it is suitable. Normally, the hymns within the ceremony are religious in tone, and we have sung opera, musicals and classic song as solos.
See our Church Wedding page for more details.
For civil weddings and civil partnership ceremonies, you must not include religious music or hymns, and your registrar will need to check your final music choices before the ceremony.
Have a look at our Civil Wedding page or Same Sex Marriage page for ideas on choosing wedding music.
